ABOUT BLANKET FORT RESISTANCE
When I feel overwhelmed I build a blanket fort, even as an adult. I climb in, take a breath, and let myself calm down. Fighting hate and injustice is exhausting and it is easy to get overwhelmed. In order to have a sustainable and resilient resistance, we must remember the words of Teddy Roosevelt: "Do what you can with what you have where you are." We each, alone, are limited by time, resources, personal context and energy. There is only so much we can do, but we must do what we can. Hopefully together that will be enough. This project seeks to provide resources for us each to grow in our resilience. See our first blog post and the bio for more information.
